April stash-buster plans and WIPs.

Now my first month of stash-busting is over, and it has been fun to take part :)
During March I spent 895 grams of yarn from my stash, and I made a crochet bag, two knitted and felted sitting mats, two crochet hair clips and a pair of spiral socks :)

Now we have entered April and it's time for new projects.
I have been wanting to crochet granny squares again, and have started a little project which will be a bag for a friend of mine.
All the yarn I'm spending for this project is naturally dyed wool.
The main colours are golden brown and red, and I'm also using some odd balls of yarn in there.
When all the granny squares are done and all ends weaved in I'll weigh the squares to see how much yarn that was spent.

Weaving in the ends and joining the squares takes a bit of time, so while I'm working on that I thought I would knit a little at the same time.
In my yarn stash I found several balls of grey, brown and blue superwash yarn, which I find a little too gloomy looking to combine in a bigger project. This yarn is soft and nice and would be perfect for hats, so I am going to use it on some easy and quick knitted hats.

I have already started on the first one, a dark blue boy's hat with tassles.

I just love the subtle shades of colour in your naturally dyed wool! The granny squares already look so cheery together :) You have a good plan set out for this month's challenge. I'm still thinking on mine! Wendy

I enjoy making stash busting plans, Wendy. This is so fun. Though sometimes my plans change, but that's part of the fun I think :)
Can't wait to see what you will be making this month!!

Thanks Yael :) Hopefully my friend will like the bag. She wanted a granny square bag similar to the yellow/green one I made in autumn, so it will be something like that.

Thank you, Ana :)

Thanks Elizabeth :) I like those natural colours too, and they also go nicely together.

Thank you, Linda :)

Klem :)

Thank you for your lovely words, Samantha :)
Blessings and hugs.
